As apartheid Israel's occupation and genocidal assault on Gaza and the West Bank continues in full support of the Australian Labor government, we urge all Subbed In readers to take action to support the liberation of Palestine.
βIsrael has been systematically committing serious human rights violations against Palestinians for decades. Violations such as forcible transfer, administrative detention, torture, unlawful killings and serious injuries, and the denial of basic rights and freedoms have been well documented by Amnesty and others. It is clear that Israelβs apartheid system is being maintained through committing these abusesβwhich have been perpetrated with almost total impunity. They form part of a widespread and systematic attack against the Palestinian population, carried out within the context of Israelβs institutionalised regime of systematic oppression and domination over Palestinians, and therefore constitute crimes against humanity of apartheid.β

Acknowledge and act on the findings presented to the UN Human Rights Council on 25th March 2024 that found "[t]here are reasonable grounds to believe that the threshold indicating the commission of the crime of genocide [by Israel] β¦ has been met."

Ban the passage and movement of all military componentry imported from and exported to Israel through Australian airspace, seaports, and roads, including βdual useβ materials produced by the public ands private sectors.
Rescind all tech and trade agreements with apartheid Israel.
Enact an immediate arms embargo and advocate for an international arms embargo.
Join countries of conscience, such as Ireland, in supporting South Africa's ICJ case.
